The Pony league is the first introduction to kid pitch. It is recommended for children in grades 4 and 5, ages 9 and 10. The games are played on a 60-foot field. Stealing is allowed but runners cannot steal home.
Each team will practice once a week and play two games a week. Games and practices take place on Montgomery Village fields. Depending on numbers, the Pony league may play inter-league against teams from other local clubs.
The league provides minor league replica shirts and hats with coordinated baseball socks. Players must provide their own pants and gloves. Cleats are recommended. Team equipoment bags include bats, batting helmets and catcher's equipment.
